How do I prepare for my meeting with the trustee and creditors in my bankruptcy case?

In every bankruptcy case, whether chapter 7, 11 or 13, you will have to meet with a trustee to discuss your finances and your bankruptcy papers. The trustee isn’t your enemy, but he or she does have the job of ensuring that your papers have information that is complete and accurate, and whether there are any assets available to pay creditors. In all cases (unless you’re a company) you need to bring photo ID and your social security card.
